"Common Ground": my little corner of the blogosphere where I talk (a lot-wink) about the things that matter most to me: My relationship with my Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ, homeschooling, adoption, homemaking, parenting, "spousing." (yeah, yeah....I know that's not a word.....I made it up-it’s my blog-I can do things like that! Ha!)
Since my life isn’t all that different from yours, hopefully we can find some COMMON GROUND & learn from each other. Please share your thoughts!
Through the Lords’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not.
They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness!

Let's see...what do you want to know about us? We are a family of five......whose kids joined the family through birth & adoption. This blog started when we were adopting for the second time.....but now, it has become journal of our lives together! Sometimes entertaining, sometimes sad, sometimes thought-provoking (at least for me, ha!! ha!!!).
Thanks for joining us on this ride!

"An adopted child is not an unwanted child; to the contrary. They are a child who was searched for, prayed for, cried for, begged for; received by arms that ached, making empty hearts full. Love is meant to be shared." - Author unknown
Dave & Kim: Won't it be wonderful when you can get a "schedule" or "routine" and not be "on vacation" all the time? (If "vacation" is the right word!)Hope those ear infections clear up completely. We hope to get to Colorado in 2008. Maybe we'll get to see you all. ~God is ABOUNDING in faithfulness! Love from all the Pattersons.
What a beautiful family! I'm so glad we get to enjoy the blessing from afar- thanks for the many great photos on your blog! I'm glad that Shannon got to go too! "hi!" to her from me, and hopefully we'll get to see you all in person next time you're in KS!

How IS life with 3 children!? Does Nathaniel seem to be adjusting well? How wonderful he's home. Thanks for the pics!
Well, the three kids thing is fine, Jenica, but I think it will be easier after they feel better.
Natty is doing pretty well, all things considered, but he will still need a few more weeks to adjust to his new life completely.
SO HAPPY he's home!
Can't wait for you to meet him!
Thanks for the pics. It looks like you had such a wonderful time together!
