Post, that is!
You see, I worked on a project today……& I need opinions.
But, I’m not sure I want them, know what I mean?
Ever feel that way???

(please ignore how terrible I look. uggg
I was going to post one of my better half standing in front of this window-
& he looked just as bad-but I decided to be nice!).
I have NEVER liked them (the curtains, that is-wink!).

You might want to chat up a friend of mine, who always takes up a home-improvement project during the summer when she and her husband are off from teaching.
This year, it's ripping up the 70s-era carpet from her dining room.
And she's doing it with four kids (almost 3 to 11) under foot.
Kim,
I LOVE it!! I think they look great!! I also checked out the 'Nesting Place' blog and its really good with so many wonderful ideas.

Placemats! Very Cool!!! I used sheets once and shower curtains another time. I'm all for the creative. Looks pretty! See that was painless.
I love the new look for the windows!!! Yes! No need to be scared. ;)
Wanna see mine? They are b.a.r.e.
I think it looks really nice. MUCH better!

PS: we tried the Guatemalan black bean recipe that you gave me and although picky Sophia wouldn't try it the rest of my family inhaled them! Thanks!!
WAA HOOO! My hubby commented! (& his opinion matters the most, right?)
Thanks, everyone else for your kind comments. I was afraid they just screamed
"napkins/placemats." It's ok if you know that's what they are, you think?
& HANNAH-I'm so glad the beans were a hit! (except with your Guatemalteca.....kids!)
Cute, cute, clean and simple look. I like them!! Someimes a little creative change is all it takes to brighten a room.
Have a great weekend!

Thankks, Stacey!
Clever girl. Very cute!
My mom has something similar on her kitchen window. Very tailored and streamlined.

Very clever and it looks great!
P.S. As a person who adores black and white checks or gingham, I just have to ask what you did with the old curtains?
Bonita-the curtains are navy & white. It is so hard to see colors on the computer.
I have them washed, folded & waiting to decide what I should do with them! :-) Why? Did you want them?
Looks great!! I've used napkins as window treatments (mistreatments) forever. Super easy to put together and wash. Way to go.
lovely!! I love black and white!!! black and cream.... and all that jazzzz....
