"Common Ground": my little corner of the blogosphere where I talk (a lot-wink) about the things that matter most to me: My relationship with my Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ, homeschooling, adoption, homemaking, parenting, "spousing." (yeah, yeah....I know that's not a word.....I made it up-it’s my blog-I can do things like that! Ha!)

Since my life isn’t all that different from yours, hopefully we can find some COMMON GROUND & learn from each other. Please share your thoughts!

Through the Lords’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not.

They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness!

And the Finished Product......

Yes, there is a fence around our tree.
I don't think you need to have that explained!!!!

Last week, my good friend Amy & I
got our kids together to make gingerbread houses!
These are the kind of activities that make the holidays hectic-
but, oh, so fun!!!!

These little munchkins didn't do too much decorating,
but boy, were they busy eating as much as they could get their hands on!!!!!

Christmas Tree 2

I love this time of year, don't you?

Love your tree...and yes the gate is one of those toddler essentials isn't it!!:)

We love doing Gingerbread houses too...I have one I'm going to do with my girls in the next few days...I think there might be more eating than decorating perhaps??? :)

Just received the photo today (Wednesday). Now I don't feel so bad leaving my camera back at the motel room when we met up for dinner.

Was it a chore getting your kids to work on the cookies?

My 32YO rolled his eyes when I asked when he wanted to make our annual holiday-themed sugar cookies, even though it's probably the funniest hour we spend together each year. (At some points, it's like participating in an improv comedy show: A sheep nibbling on Frosty's decapitated dough-head? Sure.)
