& I am not baised! (Wink)
But, if you look at the back of one of these works of art,
most likely, you will see something like this:
It reminded me of a short poem that has meant much to me at different points in my life:
The Weaver
My Life is but a weaving
Between my Lord and me;
I cannot choose the colors
He worketh steadily.
Oft times He weaveth sorrow
And I, in foolish pride,
Forget He sees the upper,
And I the underside.
Not 'til the loom is silent
And the shuttles cease to fly,
Shall God unroll the canvas
And explain the reason why.
The dark threads are as needful
In the Weaver's skillful hand,
As the threads of gold and silver
In the pattern He has planned.
He knows, He loves, He cares,
Nothing this truth can dim.
He gives His very best to those
Who leave the choice with Him.
(Grant Colfax Tullar)
So much sorrow in your life & mine.......will we trust that HE sees, HE loves, He cares?

Beautiful. What a wonderful post :)
Have a great weekend!!
thanks for sharing this poem. i had heard before the analogy that we see the underside of the loom and God sees the top -- the beautiful part, which we get to see only when we make it to heaven, and then we understand. But I didn't know there was a poem. it's lovely. and meaningful. Do you have sorrow in your life right now, sister? I'm praying for you just in case. :)
Not at this moment, Gardenia-but I have had very hard things-infertility & loss of a very wanted baby.
Hard things, that sometimes tested my faith.....until I thought it might not survive. But it did, & HE is faithful.
and perhaps what that poem is all about: you seeing the underside, not the glorious top. Eyes have not seen and ears have not heard, what God has in store for those who love Him. We are not made for this earth, but for the place where you child curls up in Christ's arms. saying a little prayer for you.
Just beautiful... I've always loved that analogy too of the beauty our Father is weaving in our lives...
Thanks for visiting my blog today!
I heart your post! I have always loved this analogy! It is just SO true and something we forget probably too often! Thanks for the reminder!
Beautiful post!
Great post. Our pastor quoted that poem on Sunday, which contributed to my melt down. Thanks for posting it in it's entirety.
I'm looking forward to your blog make over. I just keep changing my backgrounds but would love a 'real blog' one day.
