& it’s because it’s a perfect example of what it means to give your children their heart’s desire. (& I guess we should do it as often as possible while they are little & their requests are fairly simple!)
Ruth found an empty Rubbermaid box big enough to climb in a few nights ago, & promptly placed all her special blankets & stuffed animals inside.
It must have looked super comfy-because next, she climbed in, too & asked her daddy if she could sleep in the box!
& he said, “YES!”
(My children are lucky, though, because they have a daddy who says “yes” to some pretty fun ideas!)
All this was arranged BEFORE I had anything to say about it.
& you know what?
I am glad, because that is one thing I would probably have said “NO” to.
& then we would have missed this wonderful moment:
(By the way, this is one of my first attempts to use my NEW Photoshop Elements! I like the way it turned out!)
Have you said "yes" to anything lately-& then been thankful you did?

Oh how stinkin' cute!! :)
And very cool with the nightstand nearby for her sippy. :) :)
So sweet!! I'm like you and probably would've said no. Glad your hubby agreed. I'm sure that made an incredible memory for her! You did great with Elements! Very cute!
That is adorable. I make it a goal to say yes to as many little things for the kids as I can...it's something I struggle with.
That is very sweet Kim. Lucky girl. She looks very comfy.
I love your photoshop layout. very cool. and way more advanced than I am. and what a wonderful result from your yes. trying to think of when I said yes, and it was a good result ! ha. no, kidding of course.
Joyce-that was Ana's idea! :)
Cute pictures and I love the layout..
Great post! Good reminder to say Yes more instead of no. Did she end up sleeping there the whole night?
ha soooo fun!
Anne-she slept there until about 5 am! I would have had such a crick in my neck!
