"Common Ground": my little corner of the blogosphere where I talk (a lot-wink) about the things that matter most to me: My relationship with my Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ, homeschooling, adoption, homemaking, parenting, "spousing." (yeah, yeah....I know that's not a word.....I made it up-it’s my blog-I can do things like that! Ha!)

Since my life isn’t all that different from yours, hopefully we can find some COMMON GROUND & learn from each other. Please share your thoughts!

Through the Lords’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not.

They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness!

Slowly Ajusting To My New "Normal."

I plan on posting more soon about how my Celiac/Gluten-Free eating is going, but honestly, it can be so over-whelming.....I am still having to post less frequently. Meal planning is WAAAY more time-intensive than I was used to.

So, sometime in the next two weeks or so, I plan on returning to more regular posting, but for now, I need to concentrate my efforts elsewhere.

Thanks so much for understanding & I truly value your prayers-as this is quite an ajustment & I still really miss "old food."

May the "new normal" become normal. When I went off wheat it was a pretty big adjustment. I happened in college and so my girlfriend--now wife--went to the grocery store and just laughed at how many cereals I could no longer eat. "What about Wheaties?" we'd jokingly ask.

That light-hearted outing helped relieve the stress a bit, I think. Though, you're right: Meal prepping can take a lot, lot longer.

Hang in there!

If you want some help with ideas, feel free to call me. I did the no wheat AND no sugar thing for six months. It was difficult, but I learned a lot! I still have to watch my intake of wheat, as a few of my previous symptoms have resurfaced. Praying for you!
