Where does it come from?
My kids have always liked their blankets.

We have a TON of stuffed animals,
but they never NEED any of them to sleep with.

Ana called her blanket a “Cozy,” and “Gee” is Ruth’s rendition of that.

I still had the same blanket on my bed I had as a child.
Just like their mother, aren’t they?)
A question for you blog readers out there:
Do you subscribe to the notion that kids shouldn’t have things that help them go to sleep?
We never really had anything special (that I remember-Mom, if you are reading this, perhaps you can correct me) & we survived just fine.
But, somehow…..my kids all have their blankets.
How DID this happen?
BUT……my comfort now comes from another source:

& I pray that our children will learn that lesson as well.
Crashed out hard after a day a Disneyland, in 2005.
Ruthie, a few months ago when she wasn't feeling good,
& fell asleep on the floor! Pobrecita!
He always sleeps like this-flat on his back, hugging his "Gee!"

Edited to say: My mom never picked out anything she wanted us to attach to.......but I LOVED my blanket-until I got married. My hubby is a built in furnace, though, so I sure don't need it now!!!!

Actually I was much like Toby and was OCD about my stuffed animals and where they belonged at night. I also had a bear and a blanket that I slept with until I was a teenager. I'm all for a comfort object. By the way, those children are ADORABLE...but you already know that!
What cute pictures of your little kiddos and their blankets ... Jaden has had a blankie for years too ... And I love that you said what gives you comfort ... very true for so many! Have a great weekend!
Rebekah, Jaden & Baby#2 too
I have a favorite GEE too!!!! Keeps me very warm in the winter!!!!
Your children are precious!
All three of my kids have loved thier blankies... they are so sweet loving on them!
I still remember the day I found my childhood blanket being used as a dropcloth to paint on - I flipped!!
Love the sweet pictures of your sleeping babies and their blankets!
All of my kids loved their blankets. As they got older they just had top be on the bed, even at the foot.
Cute pictures!

Sweet blankie pics!! I never had a blankie or stuffed animal and the jury is still out on how I turned out :) So I figure it won't hurt the boys to have one. Luke won't go to sleep without his. So far Kolby has not shown any interest in one.
Have a great weekend!!

All 3 of my kiddos have their own Gee's too. That is wonderful.
Nothing better than a blankie..Olivia has one and boy if she forgets it somewhere we are hunting it done before bed time. Your kiddos are adorable. Thanks for sharing. Have a great weekend!
Cute pictures! I don't remember having anything special that I slept with either. I like the fact that my son is attached to his Lambie for some comfort if I'm not around for some reason. I think it's a good thing.
Such cute sleeping pics!!!!
I still have my blankies... I used them till high school.
I dont mind that my kids have their own things to help them sleep.

Sounds like the general concensus is that it s GOOD for kids to have something to comfort them when Mom's not around, huh?
What sweet pics!!
