"Common Ground": my little corner of the blogosphere where I talk (a lot-wink) about the things that matter most to me: My relationship with my Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ, homeschooling, adoption, homemaking, parenting, "spousing." (yeah, yeah....I know that's not a word.....I made it up-it’s my blog-I can do things like that! Ha!)

Since my life isn’t all that different from yours, hopefully we can find some COMMON GROUND & learn from each other. Please share your thoughts!

Through the Lords’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not.

They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness!

Fire!!!!

We live in Colorado Springs, & currently, there is a MAJOR fire less than a mile away from some of the houses on the west side of town,  Fortunately, that is about 20 miles away from our house.  This picture was taken sometime today....you can see how close the fire is to thesed houses on the mountainside just west of Garden of the Gods.

Humidity was less than 10 % most of today & wind gusts were well over 30 MPH.  No chance of rain for several days & record high temps are predicted.

Please pray for Colorado Springs.

Wow! Sorry I've been gone so long!

The end of the school year must have thrown me for a loop!

We have had VBS, & a week's vacation for Dave & I already. (plus various & sundry other activites for all the kids).

Get It Done:

1.  Laundry (Kids washed & dried, our clean put away)
2.  Unpack from trip, put suitcases away
3.  Finish registering Nat for school.
4.  Withdraw Ruthie. (Tried-but after an hour online, searching for any info on how to do it, I can't find ANYTHING.)
5.  Register the girls for dance next year.

OPTIONAL:
1.  Grade Ana's math up to now.
2.  Clean kitchen.
3.  Go through one shelf of games.

Dave & I at Historic Jamestown.  Looking out over the James River, which feeds into the Chesapeake Bay.  You can see a ferry boat behind us.
