"Common Ground": my little corner of the blogosphere where I talk (a lot-wink) about the things that matter most to me: My relationship with my Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ, homeschooling, adoption, homemaking, parenting, "spousing." (yeah, yeah....I know that's not a word.....I made it up-it’s my blog-I can do things like that! Ha!)

Since my life isn’t all that different from yours, hopefully we can find some COMMON GROUND & learn from each other. Please share your thoughts!

Through the Lords’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not.

They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness!

Do You Have a Close Relationship With Your Extended Family?

I am one of the privileged ones.
I have some extended family I thoroughly enjoy spending time with.

I think the fact that my mom placed value on us knowing our cousins & aunts & uncles gave us many of the relationships we hold so dear today.

There is just something about viewing life through some of the same experiences……

Last week, one of my cousins came to visit us……& much to our delight, brought her violin.

Excellent does not even begin to describe her talent on the violin.
She ROCKS!!!

She is working toward her doctorate in violin performance,
but here she is, entertaining my kiddos & letting Ana try her hand at performance!

Love you!

What a treasure to have her expose your dc to her music!

My sister is a professional violinist and JP was mesmerized by her playing as a child. She then noticed his music talent, before he had even started piano lessons, just by how he "played".

I'm glad you have her as a cousin & df!

Hey! Thanks for sending me your address again... I enjoyed seeing the pictures of the yard... what fun to get to plant flowers and 'stuff' now! Perineals will be especially great... you only have to plant them once!
Rejoicing in Him!
