"Common Ground": my little corner of the blogosphere where I talk (a lot-wink) about the things that matter most to me: My relationship with my Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ, homeschooling, adoption, homemaking, parenting, "spousing." (yeah, yeah....I know that's not a word.....I made it up-it’s my blog-I can do things like that! Ha!)

Since my life isn’t all that different from yours, hopefully we can find some COMMON GROUND & learn from each other. Please share your thoughts!

Through the Lords’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not.

They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness!

FFF.."Peace"

Very rarely does peace come to our house anymore. As a matter of fact, I have to get up at unearthly hours to find any. (& it only lasts until about 7 am around here).

BUT…..that being said-I know where lasting peace is found.

Peace, Perfect Peace
________________________________________
Peace, perfect peace, in this dark world of sin?
The blood of Jesus whispers peace within.

Peace, perfect peace, by thronging duties pressed?
To do the will of Jesus, this is rest.

Peace, perfect peace, with sorrows surging round?
On Jesus' bosom naught but calm is found.

Peace, perfect peace, with loved ones far away?
In Jesus' keeping we are safe, and they.

Peace, perfect peace, our future all unknown?
Jesus we know, and He is on the throne.

&, just once in a while….I stop to appreciate the peacefully slumbering munchkins God has blessed us with. Something about those heads on pillows w/ eyes closed……makes all the trials of the day just melt away. But, today, I am feeling a bit nostalgic (must be my quickly approaching 40th b-day), so I'm posting some of my kids’ first “sleeping pics.” Man, I wish I could slow down time……

One of Nat's refferal pics-this one, after it loaded on the screen, I KNEW. Just knew he was supposed to be ours.

Ruth-2 months old, still in the loving care of her foster family in Guatemala

Ana-2 days old, right before leaving the hospital.

Hop on over to Nora’s blog for more “peaceful pics!”

This post makes me think that I might try and get shots of them sleeping tonight for a "before and after" kind of memory! My oldest was almost 3 when we brought her home so I have NO BABY pictures at all ):
