"Common Ground": my little corner of the blogosphere where I talk (a lot-wink) about the things that matter most to me: My relationship with my Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ, homeschooling, adoption, homemaking, parenting, "spousing." (yeah, yeah....I know that's not a word.....I made it up-it’s my blog-I can do things like that! Ha!)

Since my life isn’t all that different from yours, hopefully we can find some COMMON GROUND & learn from each other. Please share your thoughts!

Through the Lords’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not.

They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness!

I Am Going to My First Parent-Teacher Conference This Morning!!!!

I am interested/excited/nervous to hear what another important adult has to say about our precious oldest!!!

A couple of things-yes, Dave is probably also going-
but this is MY blog & I am telling you how I feel as a mama!

The school she's attending (part-time) calls this meeting a "Teacher-Teacher"
conference, since they say the parent is the first/most important teacher a child will ever have!
Isn't that cute?!?! I love it!

(P.S.-right now it's sleeting/raining & the wind must be blowing a 100 MPH!-well, maybe not quite-& I have to drive through MY intersection to get to the conference! Please pray I make there & back in one piece! & don't have a nervous breakdown in the process! Remember, the accident happened on a day much like today!)

Good luck on the Teacher/Teacher conference. I like the sound of that too! Safe travels!

Hi Kim! Finally getting caught up on blogs since we're having a snow day from school! I love the teacher-teacher instead of parent-teacher conferences! Maybe if my school would use that, more parents would realize that they need to step up to the plate!!!!! So glad Ana is enjoying school and doing so well!

Thanks for the insight, Tara
