"Common Ground": my little corner of the blogosphere where I talk (a lot-wink) about the things that matter most to me: My relationship with my Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ, homeschooling, adoption, homemaking, parenting, "spousing." (yeah, yeah....I know that's not a word.....I made it up-it’s my blog-I can do things like that! Ha!)

Since my life isn’t all that different from yours, hopefully we can find some COMMON GROUND & learn from each other. Please share your thoughts!

Through the Lords’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not.

They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness!

Rest.....

Do your kids rest?

Every day?

I tell you!

I need it!

They need it.
(hysteria with out it-for all three,
although Ana has gotten better as she’s gotten older)

& they get it.

I refer to myself as “The Nap Nazi.”

My babies rest for at least an hour every morning & two hours every afternoon.

Yes, three hours a day.

I know this might not work for everyone…..but it is essential in our house!
Natty's Room,
although the bunk beds are in the girls' room now.
His still rests in his crib, & I think he will for quite a while.
After all, he's my baby! :-)

I loved daysleeps but unfortunately my Missy M now 3 is terrible if she does sleep in the day at night...not wanting to sleep until at least 10pm!!!! She seems to be better just being kept up...and she doesn't get grumpy. I don't know where she gets her energy from.

I find it hard some days when I'm exhausted and want a rest...room time works but sometimes she'll fall asleep and that is bad!! My Sarah who is 5 had a day sleep till she started school and it was no problem putting her to bed at night...she may even have a nap now on the weekend.

Enjoy that time Kim...I'm missing it!!

Mine are both morning nappers. Any later and bedtime is way to late for my taste. We start bedtime routine at 7 so that they are asleep by 8 and greg and I can enjoy our tv shows together and get some time to ourselves. Naps are very necesary for my sanity. :)

Oh, yes. I could very well be called the nap nazi myself. We all need them sometimes...
