"Common Ground": my little corner of the blogosphere where I talk (a lot-wink) about the things that matter most to me: My relationship with my Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ, homeschooling, adoption, homemaking, parenting, "spousing." (yeah, yeah....I know that's not a word.....I made it up-it’s my blog-I can do things like that! Ha!)

Since my life isn’t all that different from yours, hopefully we can find some COMMON GROUND & learn from each other. Please share your thoughts!

Through the Lords’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not.

They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness!

Thursdays Before the Throne

Thoughts on praying......from the book "Holy Habits," by Mimi Wilson.
"Paul tells us to pray continually. (1 Thessalonians 5:17).
At first glance, this may seem impossible, but because God lives where our thoughts are born, we can train our minds to address all our thoughts as prayers to Him.
He knows our thoughts anyway.
......I choose to pass all my thinking through the filter of His presence.
.....Rather than just wishing for a parking spot, I talk to God about it. That, to me, is what Paul meant by praying continually."
What do you think? This has revolutionized my thinking on prayer.
