"Common Ground": my little corner of the blogosphere where I talk (a lot-wink) about the things that matter most to me: My relationship with my Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ, homeschooling, adoption, homemaking, parenting, "spousing." (yeah, yeah....I know that's not a word.....I made it up-it’s my blog-I can do things like that! Ha!)

Since my life isn’t all that different from yours, hopefully we can find some COMMON GROUND & learn from each other. Please share your thoughts!

Through the Lords’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not.

They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness!

What are YOU thankful for today???

Of course I have SO many things to be thankful for…….
& I’m sure you thought of these:

But, here are a few things you might not know I’m thankful for:

~3 children who are still fast asleep Thanksgiving morning
-at 8:30 am-
which NEVER happens at our house!!!!

~the first real snow of the season may come tonight
(I love the way the seasons change)

~a hubby who is going to go to Best Buy at 3 am tomorrow morning to try &
get me a new laptop so I can upload pics again!!!! Now THAT is love, isn’t it????
(especially if it does snow like it’s supposed to!)

~Mostly, though, I am the most thankful for my Savior, Jesus Christ, without whom,
I would be a lost sinner on my way to hell.

“…giving thanks to the Father,
who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in Light.
For He rescued us from the domain of darkness,

and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son,”
Colossians 1:12 & 13

Alright, I tried to figure out Mr. Linky, so I could link your blogs easily,
but it would take to long for me this am.

SOOOO…..let me know in the comments
what you are thankful for, & I will link your blog in a list later today!
(FFF visitors, sorry-I'm kinda cheating-since this was Thursday's post).

I am thankful for your friendship! In addition to all the other things I am thankful for...including having both of my children home for the holidays.

Tina-there are few people in the world who know what it is like to have their baby placed forever in their arms right before the holidays. I feel such a special bond of friendship because we went through all that together! Such fond memories, huh?

I, too, am thankful to have both babies home for the holidays this year! Last year was soooo stressful for you, too, w/ the DNA test & all!!! Hug those babies for us!!!

What a great post. We all have so much to be thankful and it is so good to acknowledge it now and then. Especially all the litle things. Hope you are enjoying the snow.

While I just finished up my own Thanksgiving post, I do want to touch on a couple things.

Since last Thanksgiving, both our families welcomed little ones into the fold. (In fact, little Hayden Brooke was born just last month, 4 hours before the WVU-Auburn game at University Hospital; the stadium and hospital share the parking lot.)

Some family members have overcome illness and injury, while others have gone on to God. Our memories of them will continue to shape us.

Finally, we should all be thankful for the friendships -- both virtual and physical -- that we maintain. They multiply our joys and laughter to overflowing, and divide out the pains and sorrows that seep into our lives.
