"Common Ground": my little corner of the blogosphere where I talk (a lot-wink) about the things that matter most to me: My relationship with my Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ, homeschooling, adoption, homemaking, parenting, "spousing." (yeah, yeah....I know that's not a word.....I made it up-it’s my blog-I can do things like that! Ha!)

Since my life isn’t all that different from yours, hopefully we can find some COMMON GROUND & learn from each other. Please share your thoughts!

Through the Lords’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not.

They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness!

Stop the clock!

Ha! Ha! That title may be especially appropriate for today,
don’t you think?

I was rocking my baby this afternoon…….
& it suddenly hit me-they are all growing so fast!

(News flash-I know!)

It seems like just yesterday that they were this:
(ugg...once again,
I have no idea what the music is or why it's there!)
And now they are this:

(HA! Wouldn't you know it-
we get all the kids smiling & looking at the camera-
& I have feet & paint pants in the picture!)

I get so caught up in the changing diapers, potty training
(yes, Ruth has said goodbye to diapers forever-yippeee!),
the spelling tests.

All these things are SUPER important-I know.

Along with making sure they eat healthy,
well-balanced meals
& take baths at least a few times a week. (wink!)

Teaching them manners & how to obey.
But, somewhere…..I am missing their growing up.
I know it goes fast,
but sometimes, I just want it to stand still.

Like I said, Ana’s time in this family has flown by!

I

WANT

TO

SLOW

THINGS

DOWN.

Can you guys give me some practical tips on how to take life more slowly
& enjoy these precious gifts?

That is why cleaning is not a priority in my house. hahaha Toby turns 3 in a few weeks and while I love watching him grow, I'd just like time to freeze him like this alittle longer.

Those kiddos are precious even if there are feet and pants in the picture.
