"Common Ground": my little corner of the blogosphere where I talk (a lot-wink) about the things that matter most to me: My relationship with my Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ, homeschooling, adoption, homemaking, parenting, "spousing." (yeah, yeah....I know that's not a word.....I made it up-it’s my blog-I can do things like that! Ha!)

Since my life isn’t all that different from yours, hopefully we can find some COMMON GROUND & learn from each other. Please share your thoughts!

Through the Lords’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not.

They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness!

"Another Year Is Dawning"

And how will you spend it?

Another year is dawning, dear Father, let it be
In working or in waiting, another year with Thee.
Another year of progress, another year of praise,
Another year of proving Thy presence all the days.

Another year of mercies, of faithfulness and grace,
Another year of gladness in the shining of Thy face;
Another year of leaning upon Thy loving breast;
Another year of trusting, of quiet, happy rest.

Another year of service, of witness for Thy love,
Another year of training for holier work above.
Another year is dawning, dear Father, let it be
On earth, or else in Heaven, another year for Thee.

What did you do last night? We went to our friend’s the Salve’s for games & food.
Have you heard of "Dance Praise" the computer/dance game?
Here are the kids, "trying their feet" at it.

But, even better is my Dear Husband in action!!!!

And, in closing of 2007, a few more fun pics of our night!

Colorado Springs has a local club that shoots fireworks off of Pike’s Peak at midnight every New Year.

Fireworks

Their home has a stunning view of the whole Front Range. With the fireworks lighting up the snow on the top-& the moon adding to the ambiance, the only negative to viewing them outside was the bitter cold air outside!

I have to say, the fireworks made me miss ringing our New Year’s Eve in Guatemala last year, standing on the balcony of our hotel. Then, of course, it made me miss our baby!

Tomorrow’s the first day back from vacation. Will Sr. Barrios sign our paperwork? Praying it will be so!
